Dancing Our Way from Festival to Bootcamp

 

The countdown to Festival International de Louisiane may officially be over today, but as for our favorite festival event, there are still a few days on the clock. The Courir du 5k, the Festival-sponsored run/walk, is this Saturday! With just enough time to register, Festival invites you and your loved ones to "run, walk, skip or jump to the finish line," and Tri-Running Lafayette seconds that motion!

 

 

This race begins and ends in the downtown area, which will be radiating with international music, lots of sunshine, and energizing festival vibes. Dancing through the race is absolutely an option, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should wear your dancing shoes. Grab your favorite pair of running shoes instead! A pair that is supportive and lightweight will get you across the finish line without injury. Don't have a pair like that? Well... that is our specialty.

 

       

After you've boogied your way through Downtown Lafayette, make your way to Girard Park. Real Fit is hosting a Boot Camp Mania from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. to jumpstart the boot camp season. For more information on this event, you can click here. These workouts are a popular summer trend, and they usually consist of high-intensity circuits mixed with cardio and agility training. They are not referred to as boot camps without reason. They are no joke! We commend and support everyone who aims to push their body to the next level in the coming months, but we urge you to also take the proper precautions.

Wearing the appropriate shoes may be more important in a boot camp workout setting than in any other. We usually recommend a cross-training shoe, but it is really best for you to come in to the store and take advantage of your free gait-analysis. Every foot and foot strike is different, and we at Tri-Running know this better than many. Let us take a look and guide you in the direction of an injury-free workout, no matter the intensity!

Locals and music lovers are excited for yet another Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette, Louisiana! Festival International began in 1987, and has evolved into a highly regarded visual and performing arts celebration of South Louisiana’s French heritage. Festival pays tribute to French, African, Caribbean and Hispanic influences by inviting artists from around the world to share their talents with the Lafayette community. Locals anxiously await the beloved Festival weekend every year, and with only a few hours left on the countdown, Festival vibes are buzzing around Lafayette!

Calzone loves Festival, and having it downtown (practically in our backyard) is a great experience. The music and good vibes will be flowing from the streets into the office. In preparation for this year’s festival, we took a little stroll down memory lane. Our owner, Julie Calzone, is one of the Festival founders. We created the logo so that it would last several lifetimes – seems like that still holds true today! (Lexington, Ky.) - Equine Motorcoach™ is headed back to the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event and Kentucky Reining Cup at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky. this week. The 2015 transport and trailer line up will be set up as part of the Trade Exhibits at the event attended by thousands of horse enthusiasts.

"This is the fourth trip for Equine Motorcoach to this prestigious event," said Ben Yates, national sales manager for Equine Motorcoach. "I am very excited about attending my first event at the Kentucky Horse Park and can't wait to meet the competitors, owners and all the horsemen and horsewomen that will be there."

Equine Motorcoach has designed and manufactured a whole new line of transports and trailers. "The years that the owners spent on the road was very productive," said Yates. "They sold everything they had in inventory and manufactured many more. More importantly, they listened to people at the horse shows about what they wanted and needed for travel. The result is the new Equine Carriage Trailer and Equine RV along with new amenities in the Equine Motorcoach."

The interior and exterior fit and finish are customized for each transport and trailer. The 2015 Equine Motorcoach display transport is a lighter palette with high gloss wood finishes. All of the materials and flooring are easy to clean and very durable, especially for wear and tear at a horse show. The Equine Motorcoach features a full kitchen, bath and living amenities.
It is built on a 2015 Freightliner Cascadia 525 HP, UltraShift Plus Trans, Tandem Axle and titled as an RV, so no special driver's license is needed.

"Rolex Kentucky is a great time to see these products," said Yates. "We plan on touring quite a bit this year, but we can't promise how long we will have these units in stock. Demand is high and we are already scheduling more in line at the factory."

Equine Motorcoach™ Adds Equine Carriage Trailer To Its Lineup

 

(Louisville, Ky.) – Equine Motorcoach, the one of a kind all-in-one RV and horse transport company, has added another product to its growing line of transports and trailers made in the United States. The Equine Carriage Trailer is designed to transport three horses, tack, feed, hay, supplies and even a car. The stacker trailer is an innovation of the company that designs for horse enthusiasts and competitors.

 

“Our Equine Motorcoach and Equine RV have a tow capacity of 30,000 pounds that is great for an existing horse trailer or any other high GVW trailer,” said Ben Yates, national sales manager for Equine Motorcoach. “We have been approached by several people to design the trailer that tows behind these transports.
