Louisiana Craft Brewers Week Events Set

Beer Appétit Finale, Special Local Release events highlight craft brewing in Lousiana, #LACBW

LAFAYETTE, LA.; September 14, 2015 – Louisiana Craft Brewers Week (LACBW) is taking place September 12th-19th to give Louisiana breweries a chance to feature special casks and collaborations and increase interest in craft brewing in the state. The third annual LACBW comes at a time when the state's craft breweries are increase in both number and size and more bars and restaurants are focusing on their craft-beer selections to satisfy consumer demands. There are currently two fully-operational breweries in the Acadiana are, Bayou Teche Brewing in Arnaudville and Parish Brewing in Broussard. 

Last week Bayou Teche released Ragin’ Cajun Genuine Louisiana Ale, an officially licensed product of the University of Louisiana- Lafayette that has drawn great initial reviews with limited distribution. It will be available on tap market-wide starting this week; consumers can find out who has it by downloading the free LiquidFinder App on their phone or visiting www.liquidfinder.com. 

The week is highlighted with Wednesday nights Beer Appétit Top Five Live Event at Jefferson Street Pub, which will showcase 2Pauls Radically Urban BBQ, Artmosphere, Jefferson Street Pub, Jolies Louisiana Bistro and Saint Street Inn. The event will feature bite-sized samples of the beer-inspired dishes that were submitted during this years Beer Appétit Challenge presented by EatLafayette. Tickets are on sale for $10 online (link) or at the door, with all proceeds benefitting the Acadiana Chapter of the American Red Cross.
