Introducing the Newly Published Nannie Sharon’s Cookbook: Gluten-Free, Low-Salt, Low-Fat Recipes

The event will feature Hardy, known among loved ones as Nannie Sharon, chatting with invited guests and Sandra’s shoppers about living a healthy lifestyle and dealing with the dietary restrictions that inspired the recipes included in her new book,  Nannie Sharon’s Cookbook: Gluten-Free, Low-Salt, Low-Fat Recipes. Over 150 recipes were developed during her many years of dealing with gluten intolerance, Hashimoto’s, and GERD, that required Hardy to follow a specific diet for optimum health and wellness. This is the debut event for  Nannie Sharon’s Cookbook, which was recently self-published with the author and the food marketing team at Calzone. The cookbook was underwritten by Ginger Morain Myers. Myers is one of Hardy’s best friends and believed early on that Hardy’s recipes should be published. She put the team together and funded the project to make the cookbook a reality. “I am blessed by Ginger’s belief in this project,” said Hardy. “She is the reason this cookbook is published.”

“These recipes are what I still cook every day for my family,” Hardy continued. “These are my basics. They’re simple, healthy, easy and straightforward. As a nurse, helping people is my first instinct. My hope is that this recipe book can give people some relief knowing that other people understand their struggle. Special diets can at first seem overwhelming. I have eaten these recipes every day for years and I’ve never been healthier.” Sandra’s is preparing Nannie Sharon’s three bean quinoa salad to sample in the restaurant. The event will be held at Sandra’s, located at 111 Rena Drive in Lafayette, on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:30AM.
